Saint Michael Lutheran school

Saint Michael Lutheran School is an accredited, coeducational school for infants through eighth grade students dedicated to quality education in the Lutheran tradition. Founded in 1956, it presents an educational alternative for the Lee County community.

Saint Michael’s educational philosophy embraces the total growth of the individual. It is distinctively a Christian school. As such, it offers a program of academic excellence and intellectual freedom that encourages each student to grow and mature. Within this environment, the student is able to receive the personal attention that so greatly enhances academic life at every level.

Saint Michael’s student body comes from throughout Lee County. Our diversity allows for a spirit of openness and adventure as students explore and learn to appreciate the broad range of background, experience, thought patterns and forms of expression their classmates bring to the school environment.

While a number of our students come from Lutheran backgrounds, the student body represents virtually all major denominations and faiths, as well as various races and ethnic ancestries.

Saint Michael’s faculty, functioning within a framework of excellent academic programs and teaching facilities, provide an atmosphere in which individual attention is the accepted standard. Each classroom teacher holds a bachelor’s degree or greater from an accredited college or university. Saint Michael teachers are more than instructors; their concern for the total growth of each student comes from a knowledge of individual needs and Christian orientation that inspires them to go “a step beyond.”
