Operation Christmas Child

On Sunday, November 16, our Sunday school children will be putting together Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes during the Sunday school hour. This is a wonderful way for our kids to share God’s love with children around the world. We’re currently accepting donations to help fill the boxes. They can be dropped off at church before Sunday, November 16. You can make a big difference in a child’s life by donating new, small items that show care and bring joy. Below is a guide to what we’re collecting:
 

Toys & Gifts

Bring items that will delight and engage children of various ages!

  • Small dolls, stuffed animals, or toy cars
  • Building blocks or LEGO® sets, yo-yos, Slinky®, or interactive toys
  • Plastic animals, finger puppets, or other small figures
  • Soccer balls (with pumps), jump ropes, or puzzles
  • Coloring books or pads, dry watercolor sets, chalkboards and chalk, or stickers
  • Musical instruments like harmonicas, maracas, or small flutes
  • Binoculars, compasses, or other small adventure items
  • Jewelry-making kits, hobby sets, or a small backpack or purse

 

Personal Care Items

Help children care for themselves with practical essentials:

  • Toothbrush, washcloth, comb/brush, nail clippers and file
  • Water bottle or flashlight with extra batteries

 

School Supplies

Equip children to learn and grow:

  • Pencils, pens, erasers, sharpeners, markers, crayons, and colored pencils
  • Notebooks, index cards, and rulers
  • Glue sticks, small tape, and scissors
  • Calculators, pencil cases, or drawstring bags

 

Clothing & Accessories

Add a little comfort and fun:

  • Flip-flops or shoes, hats, sunglasses, hair accessories, or costume jewelry
  • Shirts, socks, undergarments, or winter hats, scarves, and mittens
  • Simple wristwatches or other small wearable items
